Editorial
How the reference is edited: the descriptive genre, work with sources, the role of AI, and how materials are checked.
What kind of texts are published here
The reference and blog articles describe how tests work and how processes usually unfold: what the analyzer measures, where reference ranges come from, why two laboratories' numbers disagree, and in what order an investigation usually proceeds. This is a genre of observations, differences, and sequences — not instructions.
The site does not diagnose and does not prescribe treatment. That is not a disclaimer but a description of the genre: prescribing and withdrawing medicines, dosages and regimens are medical practice, and they happen at an in-person appointment, not on a reference page.
Who writes the texts
The project's editorial team prepares the materials. Drafting and structuring may be done with AI assistance; every text is read and proofread by a person before publication. There are no invented authors, reviewers, testimonials, or ratings on this site, and there never will be.
How materials are checked
The texts on this site are created and checked by the MedProtect team. This status is fixed here and applies to the whole site: every article passes editorial proofreading and a check of reference ranges and wording against the primary sources before publication.
Sources
Every article has a sources block with an access date. A link appears in it only after the source has been opened and checked by a person; until then the block is not rendered, and the page is listed in the editorial report as awaiting verification. The source hierarchy is described in the sources policy.
